If you are storing less than 50 cigars and using a traditional wooden humidor you can utilize either a crystal gel tube or a 2 oz. jar.  From this point it becomes more a matter of preference and storage space.

How to use Joe Cool Cigar Crystal Gel Jars and Tube

1. First, remove the lid and sifter from the jar and inspect the gel to ensure that it is moist and has not dried out.
2. Replace the sifter and put the jar inside your humidor, either on the bottom or on a shelf. Ideally, place it away from cigars to avoid direct contact.

How to refill Joe Cool Cigar Crystal Gel Jars and Tube

1. To refresh and restore your Joe Cool Cigar crystal gel jar and/or tube, refill with Joe Cool Cigar propylene glycol solution. Do not refill jar or tube with only distilled water, or propylene glycol, as these will each evaporate at different speeds.  Joe Cool Cigar propylene glycol has been specifically formulated to biodegrade at a rate that will maintain optimal humidity levels. 
2. Begin by removing the sifter from the jar or tube and pouring the solution in until the liquid reaches the "fill line". Be sure not to overfill the jar as this may cause spills within your humidor.  For tube refills, place the tube upright until gel has absorbed the solution before placing back into your humidor to avoid spills.
3. Replace the sifter on the jar or tube and put it back in your humidor.
4. Check the humidity level in your humidor again after a few hours to ensure it is maintaining humidity.
5. Be sure to check the crystal gel jar periodically to ensure it remains moist. If the gel dries out, simply repeat steps 2 & 3 to maintain humidity level.
